If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
However, you will not be charged for any nights we manage to re-let on your behalf.
In the past, we are happy to say, we have usually managed to fill cancelled rooms quickly, so there should be no charge. But we would advise people to let us know as soon as possible, as this increases the likelihood of filling your reserved rooms. We also advise our guests to take out travel insurance, so that they may recover their cancellation charge in the event of a charge being levied.
Lynwood House, like other guest houses of its size, cannot offer a full-time reception. Therefore, arrival is by arrangement only. It is important that arrival times are kept to, as far as is possible, so that we can arrange for someone to let you in. Guests can arrive at whatever time is most convenient for them up to 8pm.
If you are unable to arrive before 8pm or are uncertain of your arrival time during the day, then we now offer a self-serve check-in via a coded lock on the front door. Please contact us directly to discuss using this service.
Rooms are guaranteed to be ready by 2pm, but it is possible for you to check-in earlier to park your car, drop off luggage and collects your keys and any tourist information you may require.
We understand that delays do often occur and do appreciate that many guests are travelling many miles to stay with us. All we ask is that if you are delayed, please ring or email us immediately to let us know. Then we will do our best to rearrange our day to suit your new time of arrival.
If you do not arrive at the arranged time, we do not guarantee that anyone will be here to let you in. Any reservation not taken up, without any notification, will be charged at the full rate.
