Lynwood offers free cancellation up to 72 hours before 10am of the date of arrival.

Lynwood House offers two easy methods of arrival. Guests must arrange one of
these by the morning of their arrival in order to ensure they can gain access to
Option 1 -
Guests can arrive at any convenient prearranged time up until 6pm. (2pm on Saturdays and Sundays).
Like other guest houses of its size, cannot offer a full-time
reception. Therefore, arrival is by arrangement only. It is
important that arrival times are kept to, as far as is possible, so that we can
arrange for someone to let you in.
Option 2 -
If you are unable to arrive before 6pm or if are uncertain of your arrival
time during the day, then we now offer a self-serve check-in via a coded lock on
the front door. Please contact us directly to discuss using this service.
By using this method of arrival, guest are effectively registering online
and will be bound by the same terms as guest registering upon arrival; outlined
"Guests agree to pay for their entire reservation at the agreed rate.
Guests agree to pay for any damages they, or anyone else in their room causes
during their stay; including an automatic £50 fine for smoking on the premises."
Your Time of Arrival
Rooms are guaranteed to be ready by 2pm, but it is possible for you to
check-in earlier to park your car, drop off luggage and collects your keys and
any tourist information you may require.
We understand that delays do often occur and do appreciate that many guests
are travelling many miles to stay with us. All we ask is that if you are
delayed, please ring or email us immediately to let us know. Then we will do our
best to rearrange our day to suit your new time of arrival.
If you do not arrive at the arranged time, we do not guarantee that anyone
will be here to let you in. Any reservation not taken up, without any
notification, will be charged at the full rate.
Payment can be made using the following methods:
CASH (Pounds Stirling)
CHEQUES - drawing on a UK bank account and accompanied by the appropriate account's debit card
Lynwood House does not accept cards for payment.
The card details you provided during the booking procedure are used as a
No payment will be taken from your card, except in the event of a
cancellation or 'no-show'.
Discount Codes and Promotions
Codes offer set percentage discounts off the advertised online price (on Lynwood-House.com) for the same
available room on the same night(s) as the requested booking.
Only available on telephone reservations and reservations made on
Lynwood-House.com. Discounts are not available via online travel agents, such as
Tripadvisor, Booking.com and LateRooms etc as these agents already charge a
commission for your booking. Lynwood House would rather customers book direct,
so we can take the commission off your price with promotional offers instead of
paying the online travel agents!
All usual Lynwood House policies remain unchanged by the discount offer -
minimum nights, arranged arrival etc. as stated on Lynwood-House.com.
Discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.
Lynwood House is a member of Q-Alert, which maintains a database of information
about guests whose behaviour is unacceptable. We may share your information with
members of the Q-Alert and this may result in Q-Alert members refusing to accept
bookings from you in the future.
Part of the registration at Lynwood invloves agreeing not to smoke inside the
building. Guests who smoke inside Lynwood House will be fined £50, plus any
further treatments required to rid the house of the smell of smoke and / or loss
of business caused.
Any aggressive behaviour will result in the police being called. All our
staff take the safety of fellow guests extremely seriously and will not hesitate
to call the police if they feel any of the guests or themselves is being
